Marble Floor Polishing Julianstown

A marble floor polishing project in Julianstown Co. Meath that comprised of 50 m2 of Jura marble with Granite inlay, in need of resealing and re polishing. It will first need to be stripped of the remainder of its old polish and seal.

We will utilise a premium wax removal product to accomplish this task. Once the old seals and polishes have been removed we then set about cleaning the grout. This is were the build up of all the years of traffic accumulates.

A de-greasing solution is applied and allowed to sit for a few minutes before manual agitation with the grout brush, we can then begin to vacuum up the resulting sludge.

Once the stone has been stripped and cleaned we advance to the first stage of grinding. As there is no damage to the stone, basically light scratching, we can start to grind at a 400 grit and work our way up to a 3000 grit diamond grind.

We sealed the floor after the 400 grit grinding phase has been completed. This is the optimum time to seal as the porous stone is cut open and the sealing product gets absorbed deeper into the stone at this point in the process.

We can the move to the polishing phase once the grinding has been completed. This results in a beautiful reflection from the stone, giving it a lustrous finish.
